What is
economic democracy?
Economic democracy is people and communities owning and deciding together how to manage our collective needs, from housing and food to energy and economic development. Economic democracy asserts that we have the power to dream, plan and build more just and sustainable futures for ourselves and our children.
Getting there requires shifting power across our economies, politics and cultures, leveraging a “resist and build” approach with frontline organizations. By modeling transformation locally and translocally, we build the foundation for broader systemic change.
